The Herm Sprenger chrome plated steel prong collar is one of the most recognizable and popular names in obedience training tools. A safe and effective alternative to choker collars, it puts even pressure around the neck, about every half inch, pinching the skin in a band. This collar does not apply direct pressure to the trachea, so you can train a dog with little or no tugging, jerking, or pulling. The addition of a center plate connector allows the middle link to be configured symmetrically, enabling the prongs to tighten in the same direction. Made of high quality German steel covered with chromium, the size of this collar can be adjusted by adding or removing the links individually.

This collar is made of steel covered with chrome. Each collar made of this material has a high-gloss surface. Because these collars are nickel-plated and then subsequently coated with chromium plating, they have a dual long lasting protection against rust. That is why it is suitable for conditions of high humidity and for dogs who love splashing in the river, lake, sea or ocean. However, the rust prevention properties may become lost if the surface is damaged. That is why we cannot undertake a rustproof warranty for any of our products made of plated steel, regardless of the surface finishing.

Steel with two layers of plating - nickel and chromium:

Care

• wipe it down with a clean, damp cloth
• for more stubborn dirt, use a little water, some mild soap, and a soft-bristled toothbrush
• after cleaning, wipe it down with a clean, dry cloth
• use this collar sparingly not to damage its surface, otherwise it may lose its rustproof properties

All Herm Sprenger pinch collars come in a standard length which is adjusted to fit the neck of the dog by removing or adding links.

Sizing instructions: collar should fit snuggly just below the dog's ears, measure the circumference of dog's neck and add 2".
